Cattamanchi Ramalinga Subrahmanya Reddy

Reddy was born in Kattamanchi, a suburb of Chittoor city. He was the second son of Subrahmanya Reddy who had built up a lucrative legal practice as a pleader in Chittoor and was known for his high sense of principles and right conduct. Reddy completed his high school education in PCR High School in Chittoor with distinction in 1896 and joined the prestigious Madras Christian College in 1897. Rev Dr Miller was the principal of the college in which Dr Skinner was the professor of Philosophy and Professor Kellet took English classes. All of them were greatly impressed by Reddy's performance as a student and noted the qualities of his sharp and incisive mind. Even while in college, he was noted for his Telugu scholarship. He got a prize for writing a story in Telugu verse, called 'Musalamma Maranamu'. It had some unique features and was viewed as an avant-garde effort in the field of Telugu poetry, quite different from the traditional prabhanda style.Died In the year Feb 24 1951 in Madras


Chittoor V.Nagaiah

Chittoor V. Nagaiah (born Vuppaladadiyam Nagaiah Sarma) was a multilingual Indian film actor, composer, director, producer, writer and playback singer from ChittoorAndhra Pradesh, India. Indian film journalist and the editor of Film IndiaBaburao Patel, described Nagiah as The Paul Muni of India. In his honour, the Chittoor Nagaiah Kalakshetram of arts was established in Chittoor city of Andhra Pradesh.Died on 30 december 1973


Prathap Chandra Reddy 


Prathap Chandra Reddy (born 5 February 1933) is an Indian entrepreneur and cardiologist who founded the first corporate chain of hospitals in India, the Apollo Hospitals. India Today ranked him 48th in its 2017 list of India's 50 most powerful people.1991: Conferred with most prestigious honor Padma Bhushan 
2010: Conferred with most prestigious civilian honor Padma Vibhushan 2018: Conferred the Lions Humanitarian Award by Apollo Hospitals


Kesava Reddy
Kesava Reddy was a renowned Telugu novelist.[Hailing from Andhra Pradesh state in India. In his writings he addresses many of the important social problems in India like poverty, prejudices, and superstitions, and encourages people to be socially responsible. He successfully bridges the idealistic and the popular styles of literature


       Madhuranatakam Rajaram
Rajaram was born in Damalcheruvu village of Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh state. Rajaram worked as Telugu teacher at Zilla parishath high school of Damalcheruvu and wrote stories to prominent Telugu dailies. In the span of over five decades he wrote many short stories depicting the lives of middle-class or lower-middle-class people in Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. His collection of short stories include Madhurantakam Rajaram kathalu, Halikulu Kushalama etc. and he has also tested other genre of writing such as plays. In its citation, Sahitya Akademi said that "Madhurantakam Rajaram Kathalu is recognized as a masterpiece of Indian short fiction in Telugu for its faithful delineation of the outer and inner life of the rustic folk, its proper employment of dialect, its total comprehension of social and existential reality and its directness and force of narration


Chittoor Subramanyam

Chittoor Subramanyam was born to Perayya and SMogilamma, on 22 June 1898 in a village near Punganur in Palamaner taluk, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. His parents first taught him carnatic music and he later became disciple of Naina Pillai of Kancheepuram.Under Nayana Pillai's tutelage, Subramanyam learnt and honed his skills by doing Gurukula seva to his Guru (teacher/master) for more than two decades.

From the age of five, Subramnayam was performing Harikathas (musical renditions of mythology) and music performances. He completed his training with Pillai when he was aged 20 and at that time began his major performances.



Mohan babu

Mohan Babu was born to Manchu Narayanaswamy Naidu and Manchu Lakshmamma in the Modhugulapalem village near the banks of the river Swarnamukhi. Mohan Babu grew up with his three younger brothers, Manchu Ranganatha Chowdary, Manchu Ramachandra Chowdary, Manchu Krishna and his sister Vijaya. After finishing primary schooling from Yerpedu village, he attended the S.P.J.N.M High School in Tirupati. As a child, Mohan Babu developed an interest in the stage and actively appeared in school plays from the age of 14. His father, a headmaster, was keen on his son pursuing an academic career. It was during this time that Mohan Babu moved to Chennai and acquired a degree in Physical education from the YMCA College of Physical Education.
Mohan Babu established the Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust in 1993.Today, Sree Vidyanikethan runs the Sree Vidyanikethan International School, Sree Vidyanikethan degree College, Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, Sree Vidyanikethan College of Pharmacy, Sree Vidyanikethan College of Nursing, The Sree Vidyanikethan College of Management and the Sree Vidyanikethan College for Post Graduation Studies.


Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy

Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy (born 13 September 1960) is an Indian politician who served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He was the last Chief Minister of the United Andhra Pradesh before the formation of the Telangana state on 2 June 2014
Kiran Kumar Reddy was elected to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1989 after his father's death. He served as member of the Public Undertakings Committee and Assurance Committee. He was elected to the state assembly from Native Vayalpadu (Valmikipuram) in 1989, 1999 and 2004. He lost in 1994 when Congress was routed in Chittoor district. He won from Pileru in 2009 after Valmikipuram got merged into Pileru constituency under delimitation. A known YSR loyalist, he was the Congress government chief whip for five years from 2004, before he was made the speaker. On 10 March 2014 he announced the formation of Jai Samaikyandhra Party with Chundru Srihari Rao as its Founder-President


D. K. Adikesavulu Naidu

D. K. Adikesavulu Naidu was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Chittoor constituency of Andhra Pradesh when he was the member of the Telugu Desam Party. He was the Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and was a member of the Indian National Congress.


Nara Chandrababu Naidu

Nara Chandrababu Naidu (born 20 April 1950) is an Indian politician and current leader of opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He is a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, serving from 2014 to 2019. He was the first Chief Minister of the state after it was divided. Previously, he served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2004, before the state's division, and as the leader of the opposition in the united Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 2004 to 2014. He is the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and the longest-serving Chief Minister (14 years in office) of Andhra Pradesh.
